It feels like forever ago when Rachel first contacted me about their Riviera Maya wedding at Ceiba del Mar. It was actually during the week we were displaced after Hurricane Ike hit Houston. Since then, we have had the chance to meet up during a trip to San Francisco where they live and finally for the big wedding weekend. I’ve loved getting to know Rachel and Mike over the past year and was so excited to see everything come together perfectly for them. The wedding day began with an emotional Ketubah signing ceremony in the morning and ended with one of the most energetic receptions we’ve ever seen. Here are a few favorites from their beautiful day….
Brittany and Comone have been together for more than 12 years so it was no surprise that guests came ready to celebrate. But Brittany and Comone didn’t just put on a party, they showered their closest friends and family with their love and thoughtfulness. Their ceremony was particularly intimate with handheld candles for each guest and seating in the round to bring everyone in close. From handmade venetian masks for the ladies to hand-rolled Cuban cigars for the gentlemen, Brittany and Comone put together an unforgettable night. Their beautiful wedding took place at Paraiso Maravilla and was coordinated by the ever-creative Samantha at Soiree BLISS. Brittany and Comone are such beautiful people and I was honored to witness such a perfect day. If you have a chance, check out Wedding Nouveau, for a feature on Brittany and Comone’s wedding style.
A glimpse of their hand-written vows (shot by Tammie)…
The reception area was bathed in deep amber light to set the mood.
Sana & Zeshan’s engagement photos were recently selected to be featured on mywedding.com’s blog! You can view the feature HERE and see a few of our favorites below…
Alexis and Chris had their wedding at the beautiful Briscoe Manor outside of Houston. I actually didn’t get to meet Chris until the big day but I immediately took to his sense of humor. I suspect that Alexis has a lifetime of laughter to look forward to! Everything about their day was beautiful and it was a treat to capture everything for them. Here are just a few of my favorite shots…
Awesome macro shot by my second shooter, Amanda below. For the love of the photo! The beautiful bouquet and table shots were taken by her as well.
We’re back! We have been busy catching up after such an exciting year and taking a little time out to celebrate the holidays. We’ll be posting plenty this month, including a “Best of 2009″ collection so check back often! I’d love to start off 2010 by sharing some images from Suzanne and Jake’s Houston wedding, which included a reception at the beautiful Cohen House at Rice University. If I could think of one word to describe Suzanne and Jake, it would be magnetic. I couldn’t help myself from smiling as I watched these two together. They are so head over heels for each other that it reminded me why I love what I do so much. During our engagement session, I got to meet Jasmine and Dixie, who are the other loves of Suzanne and Jake’s lives. I think they are almost as crazy about their dogs as they are about each other! I am so happy for these two and had such a blast capturing their day. I hope you enjoy some of my favorite moments!
