Emily & Joey – Houston, TX

We met Emily and Joey for the first time on the dance floor at Jess and Josh’s wedding. They were so obviously full of life and love for each other, that we were really excited when they asked us to shoot their wedding.  Emily and Joey are, hands down, one of the sweetest, most fun couples we’ve ever got to work with. Their engagement session felt more like being out with friends, than a portrait shoot. Sweet Emily even brought a headband for me to her bridal session because I had been complaining about my fly-aways. Their beautiful wedding, held at the Omni Hotel in Houston, was filled with such an incredible range of emotion and was more then just a union for Emily and Joey – but for their families too. It was an amazing day to be a part of. Here is just a glimpse of a really special wedding for us…. First image below by Amir

Better Late Than Never…

Over dinner tonight with our friends and former clients, Marilyn and Lambros, we discovered that not only did we forget to tell them about an award we received for an image from their wedding day, but we also forgot to announce awards from most of 2011… Way to go, right? So we were inspired to do a little humble bragging since we know how much it means to our couples (and ourselves!) to be recognized for the images we work so hard to create. That said, here are some winners from various ISPWP and WPJA contests last year. (First image is of Lambros from ISPWP’s summer contest… Cheers guys! We’ll celebrate soon!)

WPJA winners from Fall and Winter…

Rachel & Warren – Houston, TX

Rachel and Warren’s wedding day was stunning. Every single detail, under the meticulous direction of Mai and her crew at Honeydew Events, was breathtakingly beautiful. The ceremony was held at the historic Christ Church Cathedral, followed by a reception at The Houston Country Club. But what we loved most about Rachel and Warren’s wedding was the wonderfully intimate and relaxed vibe that carried through the entire day until morphing into a high-energy, dance fest. The Spazmatics absolutely killed it and brought out the best in everyone – especially Warren, who owned the stage on a couple occasions. We were lucky enough to snag some time with the newlyweds during a Trash the Dress session several weeks later, which was ALMOST as much fun. Here is a glimpse of the big day and our session with these two…
