Jessica & Josh – Houston, Texas

The instant a groom sees his bride for the first time has always been one of my favorite moments of the wedding day. But there is something extra special about the way that Josh looks at Jess. And it wasn’t just the first time he saw her coming down the aisle, it was every time he looked at her. These two wore their hearts on their sleeves on their wedding day and it was beautiful to witness. The ceremony and reception were held at the Omni Hotel and were perfectly orchestrated by Natalie with Belle of the Ball. During our engagement session last year, we learned how much Jess & Josh love being outdoors together so it was only natural that their wedding decor had some of the most elegant floral arrangements we’ve ever seen. Amir and I picked out some of our favorites from the big day and a couple shots from their sweet little engagement session. First image below by Amir…

We owe the world to Jess’ best friend, Laurel, who’s pictured below (to the left of our past bride Meghan)! She worked with our studio for a year and introduced us to some amazing couples…

Vanessa & Spencer – Snowmass, Colorado

Colorado is still home for Amir and I since we grew up, met and still spend nearly every holiday there with our families. While the warm climate in Houston suits us well, we still love every chance we get to be in our home state. When Vanessa reached out about her wedding in Snowmass, which is just outside of Aspen, she couldn’t really give me an address for where the wedding would be, just that it would be on a little piece of land near the old Conoco station.

After getting ready at Viceroy Hotel, everyone was shuttled to a beautiful, private clearing for the ceremony. Dinner and dancing was held in a huge barn that had been transformed into a perfectly “rustic chic” space. Vanessa and Spencer have an obvious connection and zest for life that was a blast to witness and capture.  They were so much fun to work with and were completely up for anything, including sitting on fences, skipping through fields, rolling in grass. We are so thankful to them for their warm welcome, energy and of course the cake! We got to spend an evening exploring the town of Aspen, where Vanessa actually owns a boutique, Blu Phoenix. Below are some favorites from the wedding weekend…

Meghan & Aaron – Houston, Texas

Meghan and Aaron found us through friends and originally hired us just for their engagement photos. We loved working with these two off the bat since they were so expressive together and up for anything.  We were thrilled when they chose us to capture their wedding as well and even more excited to hear about their plans. Rather than choose one of the more typical wedding venues, they picked a funky, colorful cafe, AvantGarden, to host their event. The entire evening was a perfect mix of laughs, mingling and dancing. We picked out some of our favorites from the engagement session and wedding day below. Enjoy!

And the big day…
Can’t help but include a shot of these AMAZING cupcakes by Heartbreak Cupcakes.  I could have taken out this whole stand by myself…

Love capturing couples right after the ceremony when they let the moment sink in

It was so hot in Houston that night so one of Meghan’s friends went down the street and bought her a t-shirt dress to change into. Below image by Amir…
